Internal Sales & Sales Support Officer

Overview

Based in our Bayswater Office reporting to the WA State Manager, the Internal Sales and Sales Support position provides the foundation for the sales team to deliver on their sales targets.

This role sits within our Madison Express business who are specialists in the distribution of cable, connectivity, and related products primarily to the electrical wholesale market.

The opportunity

Based in our Bayswater Office reporting to the WA State Manager, the Internal Sales and Sales Support position provides the foundation for the sales team to deliver on their sales targets. In collaboration with the sales reps, they bring in customers and sales by providing timely and accurate data and quotes, and act as the first point of call for incoming customer queries.

Working within a small team, you will be office based providing support to our customers, and sales reps on the road including:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for sales and general incoming phone calls. This may involve providing advice to customers on products available, details of back orders, gathering information for quotes and upselling
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing and new customers by conducting outbound calls, quote follow-up, query qualifications and converting opportunities into sales orders generated from the sales reps in the field
  • Work with our supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure stock is dispatched to meet order requirements and lead times are accurately communicated with the sales reps and customers
  • Perform general administrative and office tasks including assisting in the warehouse as required

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who has the ability to continually provide an outstanding customer experience that delivers profitable customer outcomes.

You will be a master communicator and demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills.  Using your knowledge of the electrical wholesaler industry, you will be able to articulate the value of our products and their technical application and solutions to customers.

You will have experience entering and tracking customer orders in a CRM together with exceptional attention to detail and a desire to ensure the accuracy of data.

A forklift licence is not essential however will be highly regarded or a willingness to obtain one.
