Reporting to the CEO, this role responsible for providing technical, commercial and people leadership across our National Technical Solutions Team. Building the capability of each technician and engineer within their team to provide an exceptional customer journey across a variety of heavy industrial markets including, recourses, utilities, ITS, energy and many more.

This opportunity sits within our Madison Technologies business, who are a value-added distributor of technology products and solutions for industrial, telecommunications and commercial applications. This leader will build the framework of our strategic vision into the future while we deliver on our global partnership agreements.

What we are looking for

The Madison Technologies business is seeking an experienced and passionate professional with commercial and technical knowledge of industrial environments while also possessing a keen sense of urgency and a “Make It Happen” customer service ethos.

 

  • Tertiary education in IT, Electrical, Electronics or related fields
  • Tertiary education in Engineering Manager is advantageous
  • Knowledge of industrial connectivity, and protocols, networking (switching and routing), logic programming, edge compute, wireless (cellular, industrial WIFI) communications, system integration and software stacks
  • Ability to collaborate across a number of functional environments to effectively interface at both a commercial and semi-technical level with system integrators and contractors, end users, consultants, as well as Madison Technologies sales, technical and other staff
  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen, as well as being a result driven individual with self-start attitude
  • An aptitude for continuous learning in the fast-moving industrial networking/communication technologies space including willingness to adapt and learn new technologies including Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications
  • Possess a keen sense of urgency and a “Make It Happen” customer service ethos
  • Ability to work through challenging situations
  • Team player interested in contributing to growth and development of Madison
  • Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills, as well as the ability to lead and work within project teams
  • Systematic thinker that is process oriented but agile in execution
