The opportunity

Reporting to the Country Manager, this is a diverse role that is perfect for someone with a high level of drive, who likes to work independently, however still understands the importance of remaining as part of the team to achieve outstanding results. Focussed on the Cabling and Connectivity market nationally, with the opportunity to leverage our already established and well-respected company and brands in the market.

Working across the entire account management and sales process, you’ll execute a variety of sales styles and strategies to see success across:

  • Effectively utilising the distribution channel (“re-sellers”) to hold stock and improve market penetration for Madison Express products and Madison Audio & Visual Products
  • Sales growth and reactivation of inactive accounts
  • Management and revenue growth of existing accounts
  • Increased revenue from new and undercapitalized product categories
  • Cross Business Unit selling from the Madison product portfolio
  • Assisting with new product introductions and developing sales strategies to sell into the market
  • Creating sales through various channels such as wholesalers, contractors and installation groups

You won’t be stuck selling the same thing every day. We’re looking for you to identify opportunities for new products that solve customer’s issues and convert these opportunities into sales.

In addition, you’ll get to use your technical knowledge by providing sales and technical support across the data security, electrical, RF and data communications markets. With sales targets and individual incentives, the opportunities are endless to make this role your own.

This role also gives you the opportunity to work with great products from global brands within the Audio & Visual Industry, such as JBL, Philips, PTZ Audio, Stem Audio and R&M to name but a few, the opportunities for you are endless.

What we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Sales Professional with knowledge of the Cabling and Connectivity market in New Zealand while also having an interest in the Audio-Visual market.

To be successful in the role we suggest the following attributes;

  • Proven success as in business development within the Cabling and Connectivity sector.
  • Possess a keen sense of urgency and a “Make It Happen” customer service ethos.
  • ‘Take Ownership” mindset and a drive to present solutions to problems that arise.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with confidence to ask for the order.
  • A team player, interested in contributing to the growth and development of the Madison Group.
